Dear ###

We write further to your request, received 15 October 2025, which states:

"I request the following information:

  1. Whether Manx Utilities has been listed as a creditor in the liquidation of Reayrt Vradda Ltd.

  2. Copies of any policy, internal guidance, or standard operating procedure that governs the continuation or disconnection of supply where a customer is in liquidation, administration, or where there is a limited prospect of debt recovery.

  3. Please confirm whether Manx Utilities continues to provide electricity, water, or other services to this any risk assessment, management approval, or decision record supporting the continuation of supply in this case."

Our response to your request is as follows:

  1. Whether Manx Utilities has been listed as a creditor in the liquidation of Reayrt Vradda Ltd.

As of 15th October 2025, Manx Utilities were not listed as a creditor in the liquidation of Reayrt Glamping Vradda Ltd but we are currently liaising with parties involved.

  1. Copies of any policy, internal guidance, or standard operating procedure that governs the continuation or disconnection of supply where a customer is in liquidation, administration, or where there is a limited prospect of debt recovery.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, under section 20 of the Act, we are not required to provide information in response to a request if it is already reasonably accessible to you, whether free of charge or on payment of a fee. Some of the information that you have requested is available from Manx Utilities website using the following link:

*Where it states ‘Electricity’, this relates to electricity, water, and wastewater removal utilities currently.

When Manx Utilities receives official notification from a liquidator acting on behalf of a company, it would first register as a creditor. Manx Utilities priority is to establish the requirements for supply of electricity, water and wastewater removal to the property, which can be either the continuation or disconnection, depending on the merits of the case.

Continuation of supply of electricity, water and wastewater removal can be agreed, providing sufficient detail from the liquidator is formally received, which supports Manx Utilities ability to recover future costs. Generally, the liability transfers to the liquidator from an agreed date so that a connection can be maintained. It may be suitable to disconnect the supply of electricity, water and wastewater removal in some cases.

Disconnections of supply for all properties are considered by two directors including the CEO.

  1. Please confirm whether Manx Utilities continues to provide electricity, water, or other services to this any risk assessment, management approval, or decision record supporting the continuation of supply in this case.

Manx Utilities continues to provide electricity, water, and removal of wastewater for Reayrt Vradda Glamping Ltd with further assessment and reviews to be carried out.

As of 15th October 2025, Manx Utilities were aware of the potential liquidation of Reayrt Vradda Glamping Ltd, however no formal documentation had been received.
