Dear ###
We write further to your request received 13 February 2025, which states:
"The storm felled about 20 trees on Surby road which caused damage to MUA overhead power cables.
I would like to know how much this cost to repair?"
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance Manx Utilities does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that you have requested. This is in line with Section 11(3)(a) of the Act.
Typically, during emergency and unplanned situations (including storm events) all associated costs are booked to a generic daywork number, as such it is not possible to break down those costs to specific network faults during such an event.
For information, Manx Utilities planned and scheme works are booked to specific project numbers where accurate costs can be provided.
