Dear ###

We write further to your request received 29 October 2024, which states:

"Whether the MUA has appointed an EPC contractor in respect of the Earystane & Scard onshore wind project.

If appointed, the name of the appointed contractor and the date of the appointment.

Details of the selection process for the EPC contractor, including any criteria used for selection.

Any associated documents or contracts related to the appointment of the EPC contractor."

While we aim to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the public authority does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information you have requested. In order to appoint an EPC Contractor, Manx Utilities must carry out a procurement exercise to select a manufacturer. There are currently several design options available for the onshore windfarm project and to deliver the best value to the customers Manx Utilities will keep all options open throughout the planning process by the use of micro- siting. This means there is no requirement to select a final design and hence no requirement to appoint either a manufacturer or EPC Contractor at this stage.
As no procurement has been undertaken related to an EPC Contract, no associated Tender documentation exists. Please quote the reference number 4226913 in any future communications.
