On 1 Aug 2024, in response to FOI 3963453, MUA stated that the average cost of electricity received through the interconnector, for the year 2022/23, was £176.73 per MWh and that 'Green electricity from the interconnector is at a higher cost. Renewable Energy Certificates of Origin are purchased to certify it is green'. For each of the following years, please provide answers separately per year for the questions listed below. 2018/2019 2019/2020 2021/22 2022/23 2023/24 1. For each year, what quantity of green energy, in MWh was purchased via the interconnector? 2. For each year, what is the unit cost, per MWh, of the above green energy? 3. For each year, in MWh, what quantity of energy not classified as "green" nor accompanied by the purchase of a Renewable Energy Certificate of Origin, was purchased via the interconnector? 4. What is the unit cost, per MWh, for the non-green energy described in question 3 above.
