Dear ###
We write further to your request received 28 May 2024, which states:
"What is the full financial appraisal incorporating the funding proposal, cash flow forecasts, pay back periods, IRR (internal rate of return), impact on the MUA headcount, impact on natural capital and stored carbon?"
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance Manx Utilities does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that you have requested. We cannot answer these questions as we have not yet appointed a manufacturer and therefore do not know the costs, operational requirements, cash flow and impact on natural capital and stored carbon. The latest cost working assumptions, including contingency and supporting detail, has already been provided to you in your previous FOI 3843909 – this response also confirmed that we were unable to supply further exact costs at that time and that remains the case now.
However, to supply further assistance the Chamber of Commerce project update, feasibility studies, future energy delivery study and operational decision making (ODM) documents, may identify some of the areas raised or explain any next steps. These are all already available on our website: Manx Utilities - Onshore Wind and Manx Utilities - Reports. Other aspects may only have information available when a future design is finalised, and/or the Environmental Impact Assessment is complete.
Please quote the reference number 3887629 in any future communications.
