This request is being handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2015.

We write further to your request which was received on 13 September 2019 and which states (numbered for ease of reference):

"How many buildings have been 1. purchased and 2. demolished and at what cost since October 2011." While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance, some of the data is not held in a format which would allow us to provide it without undertaking substantial compilation or collation of information that it holds, which the Department is not required to do under s11.3(b) referring to s8.3(c) of the Act.
In this instance, we are referring to the costs associated with demolishing the buildings listed under item 2. below. Collating this information would require the manual searching of numerous Purchase Order books to find any orders relating to demolition and then extracting all invoices relating to those orders. We have however provided the rest of the information you request, including the costs of purchases. 1.
