I write further to your request which was received on 21 August 2019 and which, subsequent to the clarification you provided, states:
"How many buildings have been purchased by the Treasury and demolished in the last ten years and at what cost."
We have considered your request under the terms of both the Freedom of Act (which covers the period 11 October 2011 to date) and the Code of Practice on Access to Government Information (in respect of the period beginning 21 August 2009 up to 10 October 2011). I can confirm that during this period, the Treasury did not purchase any buildings and subsequently demolish them. The cost of such activities therefore is £0. As previously confirmed, our response only extends to purchases made directly by the Treasury during the period. You may wish to seek information about any building purchases made by other Government Departments or Boards that were paid for through the Land and Property Acquisition Reserve (which is managed by the Treasury); from the relevant Department of Board.
