Dear
We write further to your request which was received on 30 July 2019 and which states:
"Minister for DHSC, David Ashford recently stated that the occupancy levels in the acute in-patient Mental Health Unit averaged 91.3% (as reported in the IOM Newspapers). Question 1: As quoted by Mr Ashford, please provide a copy of the mental health service minimum data set from July 2018 to current date. Question 2: Is the mental health service minimum data set benchmarked against the UK? Mr Ashford says it is. If yes, please provide a link to the data set yours is based on. Question 3: Since July 2018 to current date how many patients have been accommodated in the custody suite due to a lack of bed space? Question 4: From Jul 2018 to current date, please list the total number and type of health and safety incidents reported regarding Manannan Court."
Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that is being released to you. Question 1: As quoted by Mr Ashford, please provide a copy of the mental health service minimum data set from July 2018 to current date. The MH Minimum dataset is available on Gov.im open data site dated from April 18 until March 2019. The data up until the 30th June 2019 is supplied, in the attached spreadsheet.
Data for July 2019 will not be available is not available at this time For the first time we have run a year end dataset to ascertain the final figures for MH for the reporting year 2018-2019 and the year end figure’s (which may differ
from the MH MDS Monthly data) are included on tab 2 of the attached spreadsheet (MHS Year End) Question 2: Is the mental health service minimum data set benchmarked against the UK? Mr Ashford says it is. If yes, please provide a link to the data set yours is based on. Link to the MHLDS Dataset: https://digital.nhs.uk/data-and-information/data-collections-and-data-sets/data- sets/mental-health-services-data-set/mental-health-and-learning-disabilities-statistics- mhlds-monthly-reports Question 3: Since July 2018 to current date how many patients have been accommodated in the custody suite due to a lack of bed space? From July 2018 until 30th July 2019, there have been no instances of individuals being accommodated in the Police Custody Suite due to lack of bed spaces in Manannan Court. Question 4: From Jul 2018 to current date, please list the total number and type of health and safety incidents reported regarding Manannan Court.
