To the Cabinet Office In the annual canvas for the voters register (2018 and 2019), the Cabinet Office requested information from each household on vacancy. In particular, Question 3 asked households to state if there was nobody present that was eligible to vote, and if so the reason why. The options allowed included: business use, use as a second home, non-residents ineligible to vote, and that the property was unoccupied. Please can the Cabinet Office provide summary statistics that have already been computed from the household surveys in respect of Question 3. In particular, I request: (a) the number of households where nobody was eligible to vote; (b) in the cases in (a), a breakdown of the reasons given. In addition, I request these statistics for each local authority, parish, or sheading. Thank you for your help in this matter.
