Result Events were collated which occurred since the start of 2015 and have been mapped to vicinity of Creg Ny Baa corner, where Creg Ny Baa Back Road joins A18. Excluded from the events captured were events outside of June and July period each year, and those closed as either traffic incidents or stray animals. Event remarks were reviewed and those not relating to juveniles also removed. This is not a question based on “information held” and has been covered in the media. The event was not “banned” by the joint agencies, the organisers of the event took the decision that they were unable to continue with their event and risk breaking key aspects of the law in respect of Fire Safety Certificates and Music and Entertainment licensing. The decision was theirs following the advice about the requirements of the law and has been reviewed by a Police Superintendent. The focus of the joint advice and decision with the organisers was consistent with the aim of “Keeping People Safe” and making sure that events have the requisite safety precautions in place and comply with the law. There is a process for planning of events which is the Event Safety Group. https://www.gov.im/categories/leisure-and-entertainment/event-safety/
