We write further to your request which was received on 10 June 2019 and which states:

"Subsequent to the sale of the Nunnery could you detail the cost to date spent on using the building for UCM teaching facilities (including capital spend via GTS and rental costs) and when the current contract to use comes to an end?"

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Department does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find some of the information that you have requested. Specifically information requested in relation to the capital spend via Government Technology Services (GTS) is not held by the Department. However by way of advice and assistance the costs for the installation of the IT infrastructure was met by International Centre of Technology (ICT) Limited before University College Isle of Man (UCM) signed the current lease.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, under section 20 of the Act, we are not required to provide information in response to a request if it is already reasonably accessible to you, whether free of charge or on payment of a fee. Information about the current contract between ICT and UCM is already available on Tynwald’s website. By way of advice and assistance this can be found using the following web link: http://www.tynwald.org.im/business/hansard/20002020/2018-NN-0029.pdf I have detailed below the information that is held. As of July 2019 UCM has spent £281,028.49, including rental costs, as part of the current lease to use the Nunnery.
