We write further to your request which was received on 10 June 2019 and which states:

"DfE Handed over the responsibility for training services, skills support and Apprenticeships to DESC along with its associated budget. What budget was handed over and how many staff moved from DfE to DESC as part of this transfer? Also, in the financial year 2018/2019 how much of the reallocated budget was spent and what on?"

Our response to your request is as follows: When the Training Services team and Careers Service Officers transferred from the Department for Enterprise (DfE) to the Department of Education Sport and Culture (DESC) the budget received was £1,795,346, including staffing costs. The total number of staff who moved from DfE was five. The Department can confirm that the entire budget received from the DfE was spent for the financial year 2018/19 and this was spent on the Skills Development Scheme, Isle of Man College Fees, General Vocational Training, Vocational Training Assistance Scheme and staffing costs.
