We write further to your request which was received on 13 May 2019 and which states:
"How much has or will be paid out to the organisers of Rally IOM held last weekend."
Our response to your request is as follows: Manx Auto Sport, which runs the Rally, has an agreement that they can spend up to £10,000 on marketing of the Island as a rally destination. This has been paid by the Department for 2019. In addition the Department has agreed to underwrite the 2019 Manx National Rally event against any losses up to a maximum value of £15,000. The rally organised by Manx Auto Sport which is due to take place later this year is underwritten by the Department up to a further £18,000 against loss. Please quote the reference number 820965 in any future communications.
