We write further to your request which was received on 14 March 2019 and which states:

"A copy of the documents as approved and signed by the Departments Financial Reporting Office as it related to awarding a Contract to Manx Radio as it was granted contrary to Financial Regulations?"

Our response to your request is as follows: Please find enclosed (attached) a copy of the Department paper as approved by the Department confirming the award of a 1 year contract to Manx Radio for the TT and Festival of Motorsport in 2019. It should be noted that the award was not contrary to Financial Regulations as an exemption from the requirements to comply with Financial Practice Note C.08, as permitted by Financial Direction C9.1 and Financial Practice Note C.06, was obtained prior to the drafting of the contract commenced. Also attached is a copy of the confirmation email received from Isle of Man Government Treasury Division confirming acceptance of the Financial Regulations Waiver.
