We write further to your request which was received on 21 January 2019 and which states:
"1. Does the Prison make their own meat, cheese pies, if not are they manx made? 2. Same as above but pasties? 3. Does the Prison use manx eggs? 4 Does the Prison buy manx meats? 5. Does the Prison buy manx vegetables? 6. Does the Prison buy manx sausages and burgers. 7. Why doesn't the Prison bake it's own bread?"
Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that is being released to you. 1. Does the Prison make their own meat, cheese pies, if not are they Manx made? No, the Prison does not make their own meat of cheese pies. 2. Same as above but pasties? No, the Prison does not make their own pasties. 3. Does the Prison use Manx eggs? The eggs are bought from a Manx supplier but we do not believe them to be Manx. 4. Does the Prison buy Manx meats? The meat is provided by a local butcher. 5. Does the Prison buy Manx vegetables? The vegetables are supplied by Manx suppliers, but they are not all Manx vegetables. Prison grown vegetables are also used.

- Why doesn't the Prison bake its own bread? This is down to timing, costing and the quantity required for issue. It would not be practical.
