"For each of the last 3 full calendar years together with the current year to date please advise: How many Fixed Penalty Notices have been issued for Road Traffic Offences connected with the riding of a pedal cycle; How many individuals have been summonsed for Road Traffic Offences connected with the riding of a pedal cycle; In each case please provide brief details of the offence e.g. careless or inconsiderate cycling and the outcome of any court action."

Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that is being released to you. Results Data collated for Road Traffic offences (local offence codes between 300101 and 302010), committed since 01/01/2015, which mention in summary either ‘bicycle’ or ‘pedal cycle’, or were for offences specific to pedal cycles. 1. How many Fixed Penalty Notices have been issued for Road Traffic Offences connected with the riding of a pedal cycle; Data was collected for all Fixed Penalty Notices recorded committed since 01/01/2015.
None were issued for Road Traffic Offences connected with the riding of a pedal cycle. 2. How many individuals have been summonsed for Road Traffic Offences connected with the riding of a pedal cycle;

Data collated for Road Traffic offences (local offence codes between 300101 and 302010), committed since 01/01/2015, which mention in summary either ‘bicycle’ or ‘pedal cycle’, or were for offences specific to pedal cycles. Offences where cyclist was not at fault were excluded.
3. In each case please provide brief details of the offence(s) e.g. careless or inconsiderate cycling and the outcome of any court action.
