We write further to your request which was received on 22 October 2018 and which states:
"Government recently invested money into the Sayle Gallery, which has recently closed. Where have the funds gone"
Our response to your request is as follows:
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Department does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that you have requested; specifically how the Sayle Gallery has used the financial support provided by the Isle of Man Arts Council. This is because the Sayle Gallery is a legal entity is its own right, being a Limited Company and not part of Government. However by way of advice and assistance the following web links provide information on what financial support the IOM Arts Council has awarded to organisations and individuals, including the Sayle Art Gallery.
