Dear ###

We write further to your request which was received on 30 July 2018 and which states:

"Please could you provide the following information relating to flight cancellations during 2018:- 1 - The number of times the early morning flight to London City has been cancelled? 2 - The number of times the early morning flight to London City has been delayed by more than one hour? 3 - The number of Flybe flights to and from Liverpool that have been cancelled? 4 - The number of Flybe flights to and from Manchester that have been cancelled?"

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the public authority does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that you have requested.

The information you have requested is not held by the Department of Infrastructure for the purposes of the Act because we do not keep records of cancellations. The Department records what takes place, i.e. daily movements of aircraft that actually touch the runway. The airlines and handling agents may be able to provide this information.
