We write further to your request, received 19 February 2026, which states:

"What is the total amount that Civil Defence has spent on acquiring new vehicles from 2022 to the present?

What is the current size of the Civil Defence fleet, and could you provide a detailed list of all vehicles, including trailers?"

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the public authority does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find some of the information that you have requested.
I have detailed below the information that is held.

Please see attached, a list of the current size of the civil defence fleet which includes vehicles and trailers.

Under Section 15 of the Freedom of Information Act, the department have a duty to provide you with advice and assistance where possible, as such you may wish to contact the Department of Infrastructure, who are a separate public authority from the department. They may be able to help with the section of your request regarding the total amount the Civil Defence has spent acquiring new vehicles. A new request can be submitted here.
