Our response to you is as follows:
Mortality Reports
- Please upload to that website 2023 report and 2024 if available
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, under section 20 of the Act, we are not required to provide information in response to a request if it is already reasonably accessible to you, whether free of charge or on payment of a fee.
The 2023 Mortality Report is available on the Public Health website here:
https://www.gov.im/about-the-government/departments/cabinet-office/public-
health/public-health-intelligence/mortality-reporting/
It should be noted that the 2023 Mortality Report was absent from the Public Health website until recently whilst the website was undergoing maintenance, however the 2023 Mortality Report is also publicly available on the Tynwald website here: https://tynwald.org.im/index.php/spfile?file=/links/tls/GD/2017/2025-GD-0091.pdf The Cabinet Office does not hold some of the information that you have requested. This is because the 2024 Mortality Report has not yet been created. 2. If 2024 is not available, please provide the normal date the previous years data is published
It is intended that the 2024 report will be published in October 2026.
- 2021, 2022 and 2023 do not have data tables uploaded with the report. Please upload those to the website for the public, and also provide a copy to me. Whilst our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Cabinet Office does not hold the information that you have requested. This is because data tables were not produced for the 2021, 2022 or 2023 Mortality Reports.
- Please provide a copy of the 2015, 2016 report as well, along with their data tables excel sheet for the reports each. Whilst our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Cabinet Office does not hold the information that you have requested. This is because the first Mortality Report was produced in 2017, as such no Mortality Reports exist for the years 2015 or 2016. Cancer Intelligence Reports
- Reports 2022 onwards are missing
https://www.gov.im/about-the-government/departments/cabinet- 3 office/public-health/public-health-intelligence/cancer-intelligence- report/
Whilst our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Cabinet Office does not hold the information that you have requested.
For advice and assistance and to provide context, the publishing schedule of the Isle of Man Cancer Intelligence Reports aligns to the English data analysis. The Isle of Man has its data analysed by specialists in England and so Isle of Man Public Health can only publish the report once this analysis is completed. It is anticipated that the next report to be published will be relevant to the 2023 year and this is scheduled to be released in July 2026.
Outbreak Surveillance Reports
- Outbreak surveillance weekly report is missing
https://www.gov.im/about-the-government/departments/cabinet- office/public-health/health-protection/outbreak-surveillance/
Whilst our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Cabinet Office does not hold the information that you have requested.
For advice and assistance, please be advised that the Isle of Man Public Health Directorate no longer produce weekly Outbreak Surveillance Reports. Instead, Public Health have produced and published two reports on the website:
• The first report is the Surveillance of Seasonal Respiratory Illness Report. This will be updated once the winter season is officially over, however this can vary depending on whether there are winter viruses still circulating but is likely to be published in April or May 2026. • The second report on the website is the COVID-19 weekly surveillance report, however the last of these reports was produced in August 2022.
