Could you please provide a copy of the Risk Assessment that was compiled on 27th Jan 2026 that came to the conclusion that the mountain road was too windy to drive over causing it to close for the day and subsequently deemed it was safer to send all motorists along the tree lined roads into Douglas.

We write further to your request received 27 January 2026, which states:
"Could you please provide a copy of the Risk Assessment that was compiled on 27th Jan 2026 that came to the conclusion that the mountain road was too windy to drive over causing it to close for the day and subsequently deemed it was safer to send all motorists along the tree lined roads into Douglas."
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the public authority does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that you have requested. The road closure on 27th January 2026 was instigated by the Isle of Man Constabulary following their assessment of the conditions.
