Original Request

I would like to know how many tax returns are submitted annually on the IOM, and out of those returns, how many (or what percentage) just contain information submitted by an employer with regards to income, and how many continue additional income. What I am trying to understand is the administrative burden placed on the individual tax returns department to assess if significant savings of personnel could be made, if a system similar to the UK was implemented where only people with additional income on top of their salary have to submit a self assessment tax return. Can this please cover the previous tax year, 2023/2024.
