We write further to your request, received 8 January 2026, which states:
"Please provide confirmation of the number of highway defect reports made to the Department of Infrastructure during 2025 and 2026 (to date) in relation to the Creg Ny Baa back road. If it is possible to be specific, I am looking for the number of specific complaints in relation to damage to tyres/wheels."
Our response to your request is as follows:
Following your Freedom of Information request, a search for Creg-Ny-Baa back road was carried out and further filtered for potholes between the dates of 01/01/25 to 14/01/26.
One result was returned: An internal ticket was raised following a report to the Department on 24/11/25 by a member of the public: “Large potholes on Chibbyr Pheric Road - at the junction with Lonan Church Road.” A Department operative attended the site on 25/11/25 and patched a large section of the road to make it safe.
We can advise that no report of a pothole causing damage to a tyre has been received.
