The Department of Infrastructure gives notice that under section 3 of the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1985 it will introduce the following temporary road traffic restriction(s) during the period
specified.

Road closure
The A18 Mountain Road is closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic between Ramsey
Hairpin and the Creg-Ny-Baa Back Road, and a person or vehicle must not enter or
remain on that section of road.

Alternative route
An alternative route is available via the A2 Coast Road or the A3 Kirk Michael to
Ramsey Road.

Prohibition of parking
Parking is prohibited on the south-east side of the A2 New Road, Laxey between its
junction with Church Hill and the M.E.R crossing at the Mines Tavern.

The period is daily between 9.00am and 5.00pm from 28 July 2025 up to and

The Department of Infrastructure makes the following Notice under section 38 of the
Highways Act 1986.

Title
This Notice is the Isle of Man Festival of Motoring Notice 2025.

Commencement
This Notice comes into operation on 18 September 2025.

Interpretation
In this Notice —
“closure period” means any period during which an authorisation under
paragraph 4 is in force in relation to the event area or any part of the event
area;
“change notice” means a notice issued under section 8 of the Road Races Act
20161;
“Clerk of the Course” means a person appointed by the organiser to take
responsibility for the overall conduct of the event;
“event area” means the roads specified in the Schedule;
“marshal” means a person appointed as such under section 9 of the Road Races
Act 2016 by the organiser;
“motor vehicle” has the meaning given by section 65 of the Road Traffic Act 1985;
“organiser” means Scenic Car Tours (trading division of Albatross Motoring
Limited);
“side road” means any part of a road that leads onto the event area;
1 Sections 5, 7 to 12 and 14 to 16 of the Road Races Act 2016 applies for the purposes of section 38 of the Highways Act 1986 by virtue of subsection (5) of that section.

“signage” includes any barrier, tape, sign, markings or structure which indicate
prohibited or restricted access to the event area or a side road; and
“traffic” includes pedestrians, motor vehicles and pedal cycles.

Authorisation for use of event area
The organiser is authorised to use the roads specified in column 1 of the table in
the Schedule on the days and during the times specified in column 2 of that table.
