We write further to your request, received 2 January 2026, which states:

"How many times has a fixed penalty notice on vehicles for the offence/ breach of failing to display a vehicular road fund licence in the following years

1 2024 2 2025

Of this number how many were cancelled with no further action and how many were paid."

Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

1. In 2024 the number of fixed penalty notices issued for failing to display a valid vehicle licence was 2292. Of those, 1229 were paid and 233 were cancelled with no further action.
2. In 2025 the number of fixed penalty notices issued for failing to display a valid vehicle license was 1115. Of those, 402 were paid and 115 were cancelled with no further action. Please quote the reference number 5201105 in any future communications.
