Dear ###

We write further to your request, received 30 December 2025, which states:

"Reaynt Mie -Ballasalla; a) how many first time buyer homes could have been built to date so far on this development b) how many first time buyer homes have been built to date c) How many first time buyer homes are currently built not occupied but waiting for customers d) how many of the provision of 25% of first time buyer homes have been commuted to payments by the developer to DOI. e) what is the DOI process for contacting those on the first time buyer list to inform of available homes."

Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

a.) The Department only holds information on delivery and production dates for affordable housing units and not for the other residential properties included in the development. As such, we cannot state how many affordable homes could have been built to date so far. However, we can confirm that upon completion of the whole development, the potential maximum provision of first time buyer homes could have been 108. Affordable homes may be delivered as either first time buyer or public sector housing. b.) 56 first time buyer homes have been completed to date. c.) 5 first time buyer home have been completed but not yet occupied. All 5 of these properties have been allocated to first time buyers and progressing through the legal process to purchase the property. d.) 52.75 units of the Affordable Allocation of 25% of the total number of dwellings approved to date have been commuted to payments by the developer. e.) The Department’s webpage at www.gov.im/firsttimebuyers/newdevelopments is updated to provide current information about upcoming developments where new first time buyer housing is being provided. The Department may publicise opportunities for first time buyers from time to time; including via social media, letters, leaflets etc. and open days. The standard process for allocating first time buyer homes is as set out in the published “First Time Buyer Reporting and Allocations Policy” available here:https://www.gov.im/media/1384215/first- time-buyer-reporting-and-allocations-policy-june-10-2024.pdf
