"1. The total amount of money paid to the Local Authorities (excluding Douglas, Braddan and Onchan), broken down by each local authority for the financial years 2023/24, and 2024/25.

2. The sum total of all monies requested in 1. (above), for each of the financial years 2023/24, and 2024/25.”

Our response to your request is as follows:

Part 1.

Please find attached Appendix A, which details the total amount of money paid to the Local Authorities (excluding Douglas, Braddan and Onchan), for the financial years 2023/24, and 2024/25.

Part 2.

Please find attached Appendix B, which details the total amount of money outstanding with the Local Authorities over the same time period above.

Part 3.

The sum total paid for both rating years is £24,614,448.40. The Sum total outstanding for both rating years is £861,307.19.

Please note the following,

The figures provided exclude water charges and burial ground rates.

Treasury does not collect local authority rates on behalf of Douglas City Council, Braddan Parish Commissioners, or Onchan Commissioners.

The amounts shown represent payments made to the relevant authorities during the specified rating year, rather than amounts collected. All applicable deductions, such as collection fees, have already been applied.

Outstanding amounts exclude any properties that are zero-rated.

Please note that the figures provided were accurate at the time of year-end completion. These amounts may have changed subsequently, as collection procedures continue beyond the rating year period.
