We write further to your request, received 26 November 2025, which states:

"How much has the Orsted wind farm already cost,?"

Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

The Department has checked through the costs incurred by DOI since we last reported on this matter in November 2024, at which time the overall costs had been assessed as £467,357.

For the period 27th November 2024 up to 30th November 2025, there has been an additional £46,461.56 expended (exclusive of VAT), resulting in a total of £513,818.56. This spend was to support the Department in relation to the Mooir Vannin application for an offshore windfarm.

Please note that this cost does not include any charges incurred in respect of the preparation of legislation under the Marine Infrastructure Management Act 2016, which is not a cost exclusively related to the Orsted application.
