We write further to your request, received 21 November 2025, which states:

"Please confirm the cost incurred in obtaining the independent review of the health and social care study and Sir Jonathan Michael's recent final report and also confirm from which departmental budget it has been funded or from which it will be funded."

Clarification provided by the requester – ‘With regards to the statement of independent review of the health and social care, I can confirm this is regarding the recent MIAA review’.

Thank you for your request. The Department of Health and Social Care (the Department) have provided the following information to your request and have broken the information into two parts.

Part One – MIAA Review

Part Two – Sir Jonathan Michael Report
