Dear ###

We write further to your request received 18 November 2025, which states:

"Provide a copy of all documentation relating to the closure of Dhoon Quarry as a motorbike facility.

Regards"

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the public authority does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that you have requested.

Following a health and safety review of one of the Departments Quarry sites, the potential risk of the sites being used by other groups including trial/motorcycle use was raised. The Department has decided to restrict use of the sites by these groups until such time that a review and guidance documents are created to mitigate this risk.

Restriction of the Dhoon Quarry site for this use was acted on following verbal instruction, and as such the Department holds no documents in relation to it.
