Dear ###
We write further to your request received 28 October 2025, which states:
Can you please give the percentage of the sheep slaughtered on the Island, that go through the Halal slaughter methods, rather than a standard slaughtered method please.
Secondly what are the amounts of our slaughtered Sheep and lambs that's exported and to where please.
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the public authority does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that you have requested. This is because the Department does not hold any data on the percentage of the sheep slaughtered through the Halal method nor the amounts of slaughtered sheep and lambs that are exported.
To offer advice and assistance, the purpose of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) is to enable persons to obtain access to information held by a public authority. Isle of Man Meats is not identified as a public authority listed in Schedule 1 of the FOIA. However, despite this you may wish to contact them directly to see if they are able to assist further with your request.
