This request is made in the public interest to understand the current and historic level of clinical psychology/counselling psychology provision within the Manx Care Integrated Mental Health Service (IMHS), compared to the NHS Health Education England "Psychological Professions Workforce Plan for England" (1) ambition to have approx. 19 full-time equivalents (FTE) of these professionals per 100,000 population (excluding psychological professionals working in physical health care settings, GP services, or in non-NHS commissioned settings), which equates to approx. 16 on the Island. Please provide the number of full-time equivalent Clinical Psychologists/Counselling Psychologists (Doctorate level) professionals employed within each area of the IMHS who are on permanent contracts (i.e. excluding limited term appointments, locums/agency, bank contract, or persons on external secondments). If possible, please provide this information by year for the period 2015-present. We write further to your request, received 10 September 2025, which states:

Excluding all other psychological professionals, clinical psychologists on limited term appointments, clinical psychologists on secondment, locum clinical psychologists and bank staff the Integrated Mental Health Service (IMHS) currently employs:
• 1 Doctorate level Clinical Psychologist. This professional is based within the CAMHS service.
The service currently has two unfilled Doctorate levels Clinical Psychologists posts that are subject to recruitment process.
Unfortunately it has not been possible to confidently report on historic data.
