Dear ###

We write further to your request which was received on 1 June 2018 and which states:

"At the start of the game TT Isle of Man, it says the government supported the game, was this financially? And if so how much has the department spent and what is the envisaged return?"

Our response to your request is as follows: The Isle of Man Government has not supported the TT game in any way financially. The Department for Enterprise has a commercial agreement with the game publishers, BigBen Interactive, which includes the exclusive licence for the TT game in return for a guaranteed licence fee and percentage revenue share on game sales. The Department’s motorsport team supported the promotion of the game including official programme advertising, PR, social media and website support. It also worked with BigBen interactive on any image rights approval associated with the game including teams, riders, sponsors and manufacturers and facilitated the game’s developers Kylotton with access during the TT Races to ensure that they were able to accurately replicate the teams and riders that they wished to feature in the game.
