Dear

We write further to your request received 9 July 2025, which states:

"Can you please tell me how many Manx children or children born to Manx parents have been sent to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital since January 2010? Response

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the public authority does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that you have requested.

Unfortunately we do not hold reliable data that goes back to 2010. Additionally we do not have any existing reporting that would identify Manx children born to Manx parents, which would be required to identify children who may have been referred to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Data for children who have been cared for by Alder Hey and Great Ormond street is submitted by the tertiary hospitals via the Contracts Team. We would suggest that you may be best approaching Alder Hey and Great Ormond Street for this information. Unfortunately the Tertiary Hospitals won’t be able to advise whether the children were born to Manx parents.

Please quote the reference number 4784637 in any future communications.
