This request is being handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2015.

We write further to your request which was received on 29 May 2018 and which states:

"1. How many passengers traveled through the island's airport year on year for the past 5 years. 2. I also wish to know how many flights have been scheduled on the island during those years. 3. Which airlines operated each of them five years?"

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the public authority does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find some of the information that you have requested. 1.   1. We only collect what takes place on the runway at Ronaldsway rather than what is scheduled to take place. However, for each season (winter and summer) a schedule of expected flights is produced. These schedules do not take variations for holidays, peak periods (e.g. TT, MGP/Festival of Motorcycling) and public holidays into account.

  2. The airlines that have operated over the last 5 years are as follows:- Aer Lingus British Airways Citywing EasyJet Eastern Airways Flybe Loganair Please quote the reference number 475841 in any future communications.
