While the Department of Infrastructure aims to provide information wherever possible, in this instance it does not hold some of the information you have requested. This is because the Department does not have responsibility for all aspects of the parking fine process.

Specifically, the Department does not receive any revenue derived from airport parking fines, as these monies are collected by Treasury. Furthermore, while the Department issues the fines, responsibility for enforcement actions relating to unpaid fines lies with the Courts of Justice. As such, any information relating to revenue collection or enforcement outcomes is not held by this Department.

In reference to Section 15 of the Freedom of Information Act, you may wish to contact Treasury and the Courts of Justice, who may be able to help you.

I have detailed below the information that is held.

The Department of Infrastructure can confirm that, over the past six years, a total of 2,752 parking tickets were issued in the airport car parks, giving a total approximate value of £165,120.

Please refer to the table below for a detailed breakdown of these fines.
