Making a difference to people and communities We believe collaborative partnerships between government and business are essential for delivering the high quality services citizens expect, as well as supporting economic growth in all parts of the UK. The services we provide have a positive impact on thousands of people every day and within the communities in which we work. From helping to reduce reoffending in prisons, supporting the Armed Forces, keeping the streets clean, delivering micromobility schemes and award-winning public transport to supporting people back into employment, providing inclusive and accessible leisure facilities, and much more – our teams are committed to supporting their local communities. Here’s just a few examples: West Midlands - since 2021, we’ve supported nearly 14,000 people back into long-term employment under the DWP Restart Scheme. London - we deliver the London Cycle Hire Scheme on behalf of TfL, facilitating over 120 million journeys, and managing over 12,500 bikes over 800 docking stations.
Liverpool - we operate Merseyrail via a joint venture, providing over 600 regular rail services, carrying over half a million passengers per week. South-West - since 2018 we’ve provided hard and soft facilities management at the 670-bed Great Western Hospital, working with NHS colleagues to improve patient safety and experience.
