We write further to your request, received 12 May 2025, which states:

"How much does Manx Care spend each year on translators for patients who either don't speak English or have a limited understanding.

This includes how much is spent on external providers for the service.

Please provide an annual breakdown for the past five financial years."

Response

The accounting ledger shows the following costs recorded in respect of translation costs for Manx Care. These costs were recorded in the ledger based on when the invoices were paid and may differ to when the actual translation services were undertaken. These are from the establishment of Manx Care (1st April 2021) and includes costs incurred so far, this financial year.
