We write further to your request, received 1 May 2025, which states:
"I am seeking information regarding the prow Surby to Ballakillowey listed as class p .
This path spurs of from prow 535 Ballafesson.
There are no signs in place at either end but there are signs along the route.
As a barn has been re-developed I ask has this prow been extinguished and if so by whom and when ."
Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.
The lane specified was never a PROW but was a permissive path. The landowners rescinded those permissions after numerous issues with users not following the prescribed route.
Additional signage was trialled in an attempt to rectify the problem before the landowner ultimately decided to stop public access.
