Date: 16 April 2025 15:39:07 Dear All, Please find attached the payments made by each local authority this year for the operation of the Northern Civic Amenity Site. As you will see the Department is also contributing. This was a pragmatic decision to keep the site open until a sustainable solution is found through the course of this year. The Department took the view that this was in the best interest of the residents. I appreciate that this will not be how some of you wanted this situation to be resolved, but I hope you can agree that keeping the site open whilst future funding options are considered was the right decision at this time and that you will continue to work constructively with the Department to keep the site operational and find a long term solution. I would like to confirm that the Department’s funding will not come from the NCAS’s contingency, but has been provided by the Department from its own internal budget resources. I am off Island for the next week, but I hope we can catch up in early May to review where we are.
