We write further to your request, received 19 March 2025, which states:

"How much will it cost to change relevant signage to 20mph if to go ahead in total?

Will the department disclose the relevant company or company's who have got the contract for the new 20mph signage"

Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

The total estimated cost for the implementation of 20mph speed limits across all island settlements is £400,000.

In relation to procurement and delivery, the Department of Infrastructure holds a framework agreement with Hirst Signs Ltd for the supply of road signage. For the installation of signage and associated works specific to the Douglas and Onchan areas, the Department has commissioned CCJ Group Limited.

For the Port St Mary area, all installation and implementation works were carried out in-house by the Department’s own workforce.
