We write further to your request which was received on 20 April 2018 and which states:
"1 - How many consultants have left Noble's Hospital in each of the last five years? 2 - How many locum consultants are currently employed at Noble's Hospital? 3 - Is bowel surgery being undertaken on Isle of Man patients at Noble's Hospital?"
Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that
is being released to you.
Question 1 response:
The table below shows the number of consultants who held contracts with guaranteed
hours and who have left the organisation, in the last 5 years.
Please note in relation to 2017/18 – two of the nine-leavers were on Limited Term
Appointments and therefore were expected to leave.
Question 2 response:
As of the 24th April 2018, we currently have seven Consultants working at Noble’s
Hospital.
Three of these Consultants are agency workers and the other five are employed as
Noble’s Hospital bank staff.
