Original Request

Please can you answer how when overtime is required for the position of a Port Security Supervisor is it offered to a Port Security Supervisor or an Acting Port Security Supervisor to cover the respective grade as a Port Security Officer grade does not have sufficient pay spine points to cover the position. In the likelihood of a Port Security Officer off sick or in training how is the position covered by overtime. Is this being position allowed to be covered by a Port Security Supervisor and if so is ithe overtime offered to the lowe graded post holder in the first instance . Is the selection process a free for all and is it managed fairly and economically for the government budget.
