"What is the criteria used to decide eligibility criteria for children who need mobility equipment on Island."
Response
Please see attached document. Clinicians would share this document in discussions with parents. These are considered medical devices and prescribed for the child, other factors that may influence clinical decision would be:
- medical alerts regarding safety;
- whether the equipment met with expected safety standards;
- whether we would be able to oversee the maintenance of the equipment ;
- Staff skill set to clinical oversee the equipment.
