We write further to your request, received 14 January 2025, which states:

"Please provide the number of babies under 12 months old who were admitted to Nobles Hospital with severe RSV infections, or severe RSV-related infections such as bronchiolitis, for the following periods:
current flu season (2024-2025)
2023-2024 flu season
2022-2023 flu season.

Please use the dates 1st October to 31st March for each season requested."

Our response to your request is as follows: I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

As requested, please see below the numbers of babies under 12 months old who were admitted to Nobles Hospital with severe RSV infections, or severe RSV-related infections such as bronchiolitis, for the following periods:
current flu season (2024-2025)
2023-2024 flu season
2022-2023 flu season. "

Data has been derived using the below clinical codes for conditions found in the primary position J121, J205, J210 or B974 in any position.

We have also searched for the P230 code found in any position with B974 directly following.
