Please would you let me know :- 1) How many Comis Hotel detainees/Returning Residents have applied for their refunds? 2) How many have actually received their refunds? 3) Officially, How many people were detained at the Comis Hotel? 4) How many of those people are entitled to a refund? Clarification received 08/01/2025: For residents that stayed in the Comis From 15th April 2020 to the 13th May 2020. I am asking from when the IOMG implemented, from Kate Brunner KC Recommendations the refund policy your firm was raised in June 2024 up to today/now! So anyone who has applied for the refund from implantation date of form 1st June 2024 to now January 2025!!

We write further to your request, received 7 January 2025, which states:
"Please would you let me know :-
1) How many Comis Hotel detainees/Returning Residents have applied for their refunds?
2) How many have actually received their refunds?

Clarification received 08/01/2025:
For residents that stayed in the Comis
From 15th April 2020 to the 13th May 2020.

Our response to your request is as follows: Information held
1) The Department of Infrastructure received 58 applications for a refund.
2) Of the 58 applications received, 50 applications have received refunds:
• Two applicants were outside of the eligible dates
• Two applicants did not stay at the Comis Hotel
• Two applications were duplicate claims
• Two applications are yet to be paid as there is outstanding documents to be
supplied
3) The total number of returning residents that stayed at the Comis Hotel were 107, seven of which were medical escort staff.
4) 90 returning residents are entitled to a refund. Please note that the discrepancy between the number of applications and number of those who are entitled to refunds is due to groups travelling together such as families and would submit one application form for the group.
The Department is waiting to receive seven applications which consists of 11 residents that are entitled to refunds in total.
