Our response to your request is as follows:
- The date of the complaint Since 2014 the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) have received one complaint regarding TD Car Centre. The date of the complaint is 03 December 2024.
The OFT offers consumers advice on issues relating to purchases that they have made. The office advises consumers on their rights often before they have spoken to the trader. The consumer seeks to know what redress they are entitled to based on the type of issues they may be having. In the vast majority of cases the office does not hear back from the consumer because the trader has resolved their enquiry.

The OFT contacted the trader to ask for their version of events relating to the consumers complaint. The trader gave their justification for the action taken and proposed an outcome to the consumer. No action was taken by the OFT as the trader had stated their justification and had not breached any legislative requirements. -

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the OFT does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that you have requested. This is because the OFT has not undertaken any enforcement action against TD Car Centre historically.
