"Further to case ID 4185353. I would like to ask if the Monty Halls Visit Isle of Man campaign video went out to tender? Secondly, is it possible to get a breakdown of the £15,000 production costs for the 2 minute video and further edits, plus any photography."
Our response to you is as follows:
Further to case ID 4185353. I would like to ask if the Monty Halls Visit Isle of Man campaign video went out to tender?
The Visit Isle of Man ‘Extraordinary Isle’ campaign was subject to a Quick Quote tender process in July 2024, for the provision of three seasonal campaign videos and accompanying photography.
The tender specified that each campaign was to consist of a 60 – 120s video and shortened edits for social and digital advertising in both portrait and landscape formats, along with photography to support the promotion of the campaign. Again, this was to be in various formats for use in various media types.
Secondly, is it possible to get a breakdown of the £15,000 production costs for the 2- minute video and further edits, plus any photography.
Whilst our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Department does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that you have requested.
The Department does not hold a specific break down of the £15,000 spent on the campaign as this was tendered and invoiced as a fixed cost of £15,000. The tender responses included an estimation of the work breakdown of the project as follows:
Production:
7 x Days Photography
7 x Days Videography
Postproduction:
3 x Days editing stills and Postproduction
10 x Days postproduction video including cut downs where relevant
The separate Big Blue Bag video was included within this campaign cost.
