We write further to your request, received 15 November 2024, which states:

"Please could you advise us if the number of fatalities on the Island's roads in both 2023 and 2024 to date."

Our response to your request is as follows:

In the calendar year 1st January 2023 to 31st December 2023, there were 2 fatal injury casualties recorded on the island as a result of vehicle collisions.

In the calendar year 1st January 2024 to date (20th November), there were 4 fatal injury casualties recorded on the island as a result of vehicle collisions.

There may be ongoing police investigation and collision verification for incidents occurring in more recent months or further. As a result, the total number of fatal injury casualties recorded may be subject to change.
