We write further to your request, received 14 November 2024, which states:
"1. What are the Constabulary's guidelines concerning street bail for persons arrested under the provisions of the Police Powers and Procedures Act 1998?
- How many persons have been the subject of such street bails between January 2020 and the 31st October 2024?"
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the public authority does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find some of the information that you have requested in relation to providing guidelines concerning street bail for persons arrested under the provisions of the Police Powers and Procedures Act 1998.
I can confirm that 0 (zero) persons have been subject of such street bails between January 2020 and the 31st October 2024. There is no legislation in place for street bail, and therefore zero people have been subjected for street bail in the review period.
